La UD Las Palmas ofreció una buena imagen y venció este lunes a un equipo de la Premier League como el Wolverhampton Wanderers (3-2) en el tercer amistoso de pretemporada que disputan los isleños en Andalucía.
El conjunto canario completó en Marbella una buena primera parte, en la que apenas concedió acercamientos peligrosos al cuadro inglés y se mostró certero en los minutos finales de este periodo, con dos goles que le dieron una cómoda ventaja al descanso.
Pepe Mel alineó de entrada a algunos de los nuevos fichajes, como Erick Ferigra y Raúl Navas formando la pareja de centrales, y a Adalberto Peñaranda partiendo desde la banda izquierda, además de volver a dar minutos a los canteranos Alberto Moleiro y Ale García.
Un zurdazo de Moleiro en el minuto 29 lo despejó a córner el portero José Sa en la primera gran oportunidad de los isleños.
El francés Loiodice, como bisagra por delante de la defensa, dio un gran pase a Peñaranda, el venezolano se plantó solo ante el guardameta, quien rechazó su disparo, pero Ale García acompañaba la jugada y anotó a puerta vacía.
Antes del descanso, Peñaranda culminó un contraataque, esta vez arrancando desde la banda opuesta, con recorte con la pierna derecha ante el portero y zurdazo raso para marcar el segundo tanto de la tarde.
Tras el descanso Pepe Mel introdujo cuatro cambios, con los primeros minutos en la pretemporada para Jesé Rodríguez, quien actuó como delantero centro, y también para otra de las caras nuevas, el gallego Óscar Pinchi, mientras que los ingleses solo mantuvieron a tres futbolistas de su once inicial.
Precisamente uno de los incorporados en el ‘Wolves’, el holandés Hoever, conectó una gran volea dentro del área que superó a Raúl Fernández por su derecha y redujo la desventaja.
Jesé, en su primera oportunidad, aprovechó un grave error de un zaguero en un pase atrás y definió ante el portero, marcando el tercero de Las Palmas justo antes de la pausa de hidratación y de ser sustituido, pues solo estuvo 27 minutos sobre el césped.
Un balón largo de Yerson Mosquera lo aprovechó Morgan Gibbs-White para ganarle la espalda a Eric Curbelo y batir a Raúl Fernández por bajo, en el último tanto de la tarde marbellí, para dejar el resultado final en la mínima diferencia.
