Según informa Fabrizio Romano, periodista especializado en fichajes, el centrocampista Mateo Kovacic ya ha llegado a un acuerdo total con el Manchester City respecto a sus condiciones contractuales para fichar por el club del Etihad.
Ya había trascendido que Kovacic estaba en negociaciones con el City, pero este viernes las partes han llegado ya a un acuerdo para que el medio croata se incorpore este verano al conjunto que dirige Pep Guardiola, que este sábado disputa la final de la Champions contra el Inter en Estambul.
Ahora el Manchester City debe negociar con el Chelsea, que está abierto a traspasar al jugador croata, de 29 años. Kovacic jugó en el Real Madrid entre 2015 (cuando llegó procedente del Inter) y 2018. Fue desde el club blanco que el medio fichó por el Chelsea en 2018.
Internacional por Croacia en 93 ocasiones (5 goles marcados para su selección), Kovacic forma parte de la generación subcampeona del mundo en Rusia 2018 y tercera en Qatar 2022.
